Aces of Valor: Solitaire WWI Aerial Combat

Aces of Valor: Solitaire WWI Aerial Combat puts you in command of a fighter squadron on the Western Front during the First World War.

Playing as Germany or one of the Entente powers, you lead your squadron through a campaign of 8, 12, or 16 missions. Objectives can include patrols, trench strafing, photo reconnaissance, artillery spotting, balloon busting, and bomber escort, giving each mission a different tactical focus.

Each aircraft counter represents both pilot and aircraft, so squadron management matters. Pilots and planes survive, improve, get damaged, or are lost as the campaign develops. Combat moves to an Initiative Track, where pilot skill, aircraft performance, and luck all help determine who gains the advantage in the swirling dogfight.

Mission points are earned by destroying enemy aircraft, attacking ground targets, and completing support missions. After landing, those points can become victory points or be spent on repairs, replacements, and newer aircraft.
