Arnhem: The Farthest Bridge is a two-player World War II folio wargame from Decision Games covering Operation Market Garden in September 1944. British, American, and Polish airborne forces attempt to seize key bridges through the Netherlands, with Arnhem as the farthest and most dangerous objective.
Product Type: Folio game.
Using the Fire & Movement system, Arnhem emphasizes maneuver, support fire, attrition, and careful asset management. Players can commit mortars, tanks, self-propelled artillery, fighter-bombers, and other support assets as attacks develop, but those resources are limited and must be used at the right moment.
The Allied player must capture and hold landing zones and bridges long enough for relief forces to arrive. The German player must react quickly, exploit scattered airborne landings, and prevent the operation from becoming a direct road into Germany.
Contents include: one 17×22 inch map sheet, 120 half-inch die-cut counters, an eight-page system rules booklet, and a four-page scenario rules booklet.
