ASL Starter Kit #1

ASL Starter Kit #1 is a standalone introductory game designed to teach the basic infantry and terrain rules of Advanced Squad Leader.

Using an abbreviated and illustrated rulebook, the Starter Kit introduces new players to the core concepts of ASL without requiring the full rulebook or any other modules. The included counters, maps, scenarios, dice, and quick reference chart provide everything needed to play the six included scenarios.

The two geomorphic mapboards are compatible with both Squad Leader and full Advanced Squad Leader, and the included scenarios can also be played using the full ASL rules once players are ready to move deeper into the system.

This is the best entry point for players who want to learn ASL step by step, starting with infantry combat before moving on to heavier weapons, vehicles, ordnance, and the full game system.

Contents include: two 8" x 22" geomorphic maps, boards y and z, one full countersheet of 1/2" counters, six scenarios printed on three cardstock sheets, one Quick Reference Data Chart, a 12-page illustrated rules booklet, and two dice.
