Bastogne or Bust: Designer’s Edition

Bastogne or Bust: Designer’s Edition is a standalone World War II operational wargame covering the Battle of the Bulge.

Known to many players as BOB, Bastogne or Bust is a regimental-level treatment of the Ardennes offensive designed to emphasize playable operational decisions rather than heavy simulation detail. The game focuses on movement, supply, initiative, divisional cohesion, off-board movement, and the German effort to break through before Allied strength can fully respond.

The Designer’s Edition updates the earlier game with revised orders of appearance, a new off-board movement chart with turn record track, additional counters, bridge repair and construction rules for combat engineers, road bonus movement for selected counters, and a new 10 December tournament scenario.

Each turn represents 12 hours, and each hex represents approximately 1.7 miles. Units include brigades, regiments, battalions, squads, and divisional headquarters.

Contents include: two maps, off-board movement chart, four setup cards, two player aids, 20-page rulebook, and die-cut counters.
