Battle for Germany Deluxe Edition

Battle for Germany Deluxe Edition is a World War II board wargame from Decision Games covering the final Allied offensives against Germany from December 1944 to May 1945.

The game focuses on the race to Berlin as the Western Allies and the Soviets advance from opposite sides of the collapsing Reich. One player commands the Western Allies, while the other commands the Soviets; each player also controls the German forces opposing their opponent’s front. This unusual structure keeps both players active on both sides of the conflict.

Play uses an interleaved move-fight sequence across the eastern and western fronts. Both Allied commands must push forward quickly, but careless advances can be punished by German counterattacks and sudden concentrations of force. Soviet units are powerful but often slower, while Western Allied units are fast and strong but must fight through difficult terrain and defenses before breaking into central Germany.

The Deluxe Edition features a larger mounted map extending to the Courland peninsula, larger and thicker counters, both the 1975 and redesigned 1994 counter sets, new supply counters, a full-colour rules booklet, and optional rules for supply and alternate end games. It also includes the original scenarios: Battle for Germany, Collapse in the East, and Red Star/White Star.

Contents include: one 22" x 34" mounted game board, 228 die-cut counters, colour rules and scenario booklet, one six-sided die, and storage bags.
