D-Day at Iwo Jima is a solitaire World War II board wargame from Decision Games covering the U.S. Marine Corps amphibious assault on Iwo Jima. The player controls three Marine divisions against a determined Japanese defense built around hidden positions, depth, fortifications, and infiltration.

Designer Joe Youst builds on John Butterfield’s solitaire D-Day system, using no-dice combat to emphasize uncertainty, enemy deployments, and the careful coordination of weapons and tactics. New features include random fortification generation, representing Japanese forces re-fortifying weakened positions, and an updated infiltration system that encourages the player to maintain a continuous line.

Scenarios cover the first day of the landing, the capture of Suribachi, the drive toward Airfield One, the Motoyama Plateau fighting, the final drive to the sea, and the full Sands of Iwo Jima campaign.
