Drive on Moscow: Operation Typhoon 1941

Drive on Moscow: Operation Typhoon 1941 is a two-player, solitaire-friendly World War II wargame from Decision Games covering the German attempt to capture Moscow in late 1941. This edition reprints the original game from Strategy & Tactics #244 with corrections, updated graphics, and a revised German order of battle.

The game begins with the German offensive on 1 October 1941 and runs through 7 December. German forces must exploit mobility, air superiority, and offensive momentum to reach Moscow before time and Soviet resistance close the window. The Soviet player must absorb the first blow, use uncertainty and depth to delay the advance, and bring elite Guards formations and reinforcements into the battle at the right moment.

Units are primarily divisions, with some brigades and one elite regiment. Each hex represents 7.5 miles / 12 km, and each turn represents one week.

Contents include: two 34×22 inch maps, 352 counters, one player aid card, and one 32-page rules and campaign analysis booklet.
