Infantry Attacks: Fall of Empires

Infantry Attacks: Fall of Empires is a stand-alone game in Avalanche Press’ Infantry Attacks series, the World War I counterpart to Panzer Grenadier. It covers the opening battles of 1914 on the Eastern Front, as Austro-Hungarian forces launched their offensive against Imperial Russia and then suffered heavy losses under mounting pressure.

The game focuses on company- and squadron-level actions between the Russian and Austro-Hungarian armies. The Austro-Hungarian side includes Common Army infantry, mountain troops, artillery and cavalry, as well as Austrian Landwehr, Hungarian Honvédség and Bosniaken formations. The Russian side brings infantry, cavalry, artillery, Cossacks and Plastuns.

Like other games in the series, Fall of Empires uses semi-rigid mapboards compatible with Panzer Grenadier maps, making it a strong choice for players interested in World War I tactical combat and the less commonly gamed Eastern Front of 1914.

Contents include: six rigid cardstock maps, 517 die-cut playing pieces, scenario materials and book-format packaging.
