Infantry Attacks: August 1914 Second Edition – Battle for East Prussia is a stand-alone game in Avalanche Press’ Infantry Attacks series, the World War I counterpart to Panzer Grenadier. The game covers the opening battles of 1914 in East Prussia and Poland, as Russian and German forces clashed in the first major eastern campaigns of the war.

Players fight company- and squadron-level actions from the Russian invasion of East Prussia, including the campaign that led to Tannenberg and the Battle of the Masurian Lakes. The German side includes regulars, reservists, Landwehr, cavalry, artillery and the Prussian Guard, while the Russian Army brings infantry, grenadiers, cavalry, Cossacks, artillery and Plastuns.

The game includes 40 scenarios and six semi-rigid mapboards compatible with the Panzer Grenadier map system, giving players a wide range of early-war tactical engagements.
