MAG-23: Guadalcanal is a solitaire air war game about Marine Air Group 23 and the Cactus Air Force during the Guadalcanal campaign of 1942.

You command MAG-23 from Henderson Field during its seven-and-a-half-week deployment on Guadalcanal. Starting with VMF-223 and VMSB-232, you must manage pilots, aircraft, fuel, runway damage, disease, bombardments, Japanese air raids, enemy infantry pressure, and the constant danger of losing the airfield.

Missions are fast-playing and narrative-driven, putting you in charge of intercepting Japanese raids, striking ground targets, attacking ships, and keeping the fragile Marine air presence alive long enough to help turn the tide in the Pacific.
