Russia Besieged: Deluxe Edition

Russia Besieged: Deluxe Edition is an army/corps-level World War II wargame covering the entire German campaign in the East from 1941 to 1945.

Players command German and Soviet forces from Operation Barbarossa through the final battles of the war. The German player must decide whether to drive on Leningrad, Moscow, the Caucasus, or some dangerous combination of all three. The Soviet player must survive the opening disaster, trade space for time, rebuild, and eventually turn the war around.

The system includes unit breakdowns, surrounded cities, Blitzkrieg attacks, double-impulse movement and combat, multi-weather turns, partisans, Volkssturm, and war economy considerations. Replacement points, oil, production, and force rebuilding all matter, giving the campaign a strong strategic layer beyond the front line.

This Deluxe Edition updates the classic design with larger maps and counters, refined presentation, and years of tournament experience folded into the package. It is a strong choice for players who want a full Eastern Front campaign with depth, drama, and manageable complexity.
