As Staffelkapitän, you select and equip aircraft, lead named pilots and gunners, and fly close air support missions from Operation Barbarossa through Kursk. Targets include Soviet airfields, troop concentrations, rail lines, convoys, tank formations, and naval forces in the Gulf of Finland and Black Sea.

The game combines mission resolution with squadron management. Between sorties, you track experience, promotions, aircraft repairs, replacements, wounded crew, and losses.
