The Allies are trying to knock Italy out of the war and seize as much territory as possible, while the Axis seeks to delay the advance and retain control of Italian territory for as long as possible. The game includes two scenarios, each covering all or part of the campaign.

Each game turn represents one month, with up to six player impulses per turn. Each hex represents 6.7 miles / 10 km. Combat units range from brigades and regiments down to companies.

Contents include: one 22×34 inch map and 280 1/2 inch counters.
