The included game, Rêves de Gloire, is a solitaire strategic-level wargame in which the player takes the role of Napoleon Bonaparte, the newly self-crowned Emperor of France. The player determines French foreign and military policy, establishes Bonapartist dynasties in satellite states, and raises and leads French and allied armies and fleets through an era of shifting alliances.

The game system controls the opposing Coalition forces led by Great Britain. The French Empire must conquer or control Great Britain, or dominate as much of Europe as possible, without upsetting the balance of power so severely that radical revolution or conservative reaction is triggered.

Each game turn represents one year. Regions vary in size but are generally at least 100 miles across. Units are army-level formations of 10,000 or more men, with individually named leaders.

Contents include: one 22×34 inch map and 228 9/16 inch counters.
