The included game, Operation Albion: Germany versus Russia in the Baltic, 1917–1918, is a two-player operational wargame covering the German capture of Riga and the amphibious seizure of key Baltic islands. The campaign contributed to the collapse of the Russian Provisional Government and helped bring about Germany’s final victory in the East.
This is a combined naval-air-land campaign game. Players conduct actions covering combat, logistics, intelligence, and other operations, with the pace of play shifting according to the tempo of the campaign. The game also includes the post-Albion German intervention in the Finnish Civil War.
Each game turn represents from one day to one month depending on the pace of operations. One inch on the map represents 40 kilometers. Ground units represent regiments, brigades, divisions, or equivalent formations. Aircraft units represent squadrons, while ship units represent groups of major warships, cruiser divisions, destroyer flotillas, or other naval formations.
Contents include: one 22×34 inch map and 176 5/8 inch counters.
