Target For Today: Bombing Missions over the Reich, 1942–1945

Target For Today: Bombing Missions over the Reich, 1942–1945 is a solitaire game recreating the U.S. daylight strategic bombing campaign against Nazi-occupied Europe.

The player commands an individual heavy bomber on a mission over the Third Reich, flying either a B-17F, B-17G, B-24D, or B-24J. Individual missions can be played on their own, or linked together into a campaign representing the crew’s tour of duty. The central objective is simple: complete your missions and survive long enough to rotate home.

The game builds on the tradition of B-17, Queen of the Skies, but is a complete standalone design with new tables, expanded detail, and a rules structure organised around the mission sequence. Each mission is designed to play quickly, while the campaign adds persistence, narrative tension, crew survival, aircraft damage, and the growing pressure of repeated operations.
