The Battle of Adobe Walls covers the First Battle of Adobe Walls in November 1864, one of the largest clashes between U.S. forces and Great Plains peoples. Kit Carson leads a smaller U.S. force against Comanche and Kiowa winter camps along the Canadian River, with the situation complicated by poor intelligence, distance from the pack train, and the size of the opposing force.

The game includes cavalry, infantry, scouts, leaders, Comanche and Kiowa warriors, two separate Native American camps, and the Mountain Howitzer, a short-ranged but psychologically powerful weapon in the battle. It is a compact historical wargame for players interested in the American West, frontier warfare, and asymmetric nineteenth-century battles.
