The Conquistadors: The Spanish Conquest of the Americas

The Conquistadors: The Spanish Conquest of the Americas is a partly card-driven exploration and conquest game about Spanish expeditions in Central and South America.

Players lead groups of conquistadors seeking fame, gold, and power as they explore an uncertain map, discover native cities and empires, and decide whether to fight, negotiate, plunder, or take dangerous gambles. Native uprisings, poisoned darts, defection, governors’ warrants, sudden attacks, interpreters, and legendary expeditions all shape the journey.

The game supports multiple modes, including an introductory Basic Game, a deeper Standard Game, optional rules, and a special solitaire module. It is suited to players who enjoy historical adventure games with risk, discovery, and plenty of opportunities for plans to go brilliantly—or very badly.

Contents include: two maps, two 5/8” countersheets, a deck of 130 Strategy/Conquistador cards, a deck of 26 Asset cards, rules booklet, four player aid cards, one logsheet, two six-sided dice, and a box with lid.
