Trois Batailles en Allemagne

Trois Batailles en Allemagne is Volume IX in the Vive l’Empereur series, covering three major Napoleonic engagements from the 1806–1807 campaigns: Jéna, Auerstaedt, and the Siege of Danzig.

The system uses a regimental scale, sitting between broader brigade-level games and more detailed battalion-level treatments. With 250 metres per hex and 30-minute turns, it focuses on battlefield formations, command, timing, and the tactical possibilities of Napoleonic warfare.

Jéna covers Napoleon’s victory over Hohenlohe’s Prussian army on 14 October 1806, beginning in fog and escalating into a decisive French concentration. Auerstaedt, fought the same day, presents Davout’s remarkable battle against the main Prussian army under Brunswick and the King of Prussia. Together, these battles include numerous what-if options and a total of 15 scenarios, giving the Prussians more chances than history allowed.

The Siege of Danzig adds a different operational challenge, using both a regional map and a siege map. The French player must develop siege works, manage pressure on the fortress, and deal with sorties, Russian relief efforts, and Danzig’s morale.

This is a strong choice for players interested in Napoleonic operational-tactical systems, the 1806 Prussian campaign, and multi-battle boxes with substantial scenario variety.

Contents include: five 22" x 34" maps, 450 unit counters, 110 game markers, a 40-page colour series rulebook, two 24-page game rulebooks, six double-sided player aids, three complete battles, and 15 scenarios.
