War of the Triple Alliance

War of the Triple Alliance is a strategic-level wargame on the War of the Triple Alliance, fought from 1864 to 1871 between Paraguay and the allied forces of Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay.

One player commands Paraguay, a smaller nation fighting with determination against overwhelming odds. The opposing player controls the Triple Alliance, attempting to bring its greater resources and manpower to bear. The campaign features daring offensives, fierce battles, political pressure, and the difficult geography of one of the largest and most devastating conflicts in South American history.

With a focused two-player structure and bilingual English/Spanish presentation, War of the Triple Alliance offers a rare treatment of a major 19th-century war that receives far less attention on the tabletop than it deserves.
