World at War #58: Stalin Moves West is a magazine-format issue from Strategy & Tactics Press / Decision Games exploring a hypothetical World War II campaign in 1941.
Product Type: Magazine-format issue with included wargame.
The included game, Stalin Moves West, is a two-player strategic-level wargame asking what might have happened if Germany had not invaded the Soviet Union in 1941 and Stalin had instead launched a Soviet offensive into central and western Europe.
The map covers the USSR, Greater Germany, German-occupied Poland, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia as they stood in 1941. Units represent corps and armies, while supply, leadership, and air support appear as support units on the map. Soviet uncertainty after the purges is represented through untried Soviet units, leaving even the Soviet player unsure of their real combat values until revealed.
Components include: one 22×34 inch map and 176 die-cut counters.
