1914: Nach Paris is a detailed operational wargame from Vuca Simulations covering the opening campaign on the Western Front in the First World War. The game focuses on the great confrontations of August and September 1914, from the German drive westward to the Battle of the Frontiers, the Marne, and the possibility of a decisive victory before the war hardens into trench warfare.
Designed by Bertrand Munier, 1914: Nach Paris models the armies, chronology, topography, fortified obstacles, and logistical networks of the campaign in considerable detail. Players can tackle the grand campaign or choose from shorter scenarios covering specific battles and sectors, such as Liège or the Meuse.
Contents include: four map sheets, two foldable player aid sheets, about 1,000 full-size counters, around 350 smaller markers, eight small standalone maps for shorter scenarios, one rulebook with diagrams and examples of play, one 36-page scenario booklet with 12 scenarios and an extensive example of play, and numerous setup sheets.
This is a standalone historical wargame.
