ASL Journal 14: Aussie Special Edition

ASL Journal 14: Aussie Special Edition is a 56-page magazine for Advanced Squad Leader, built around Australian and New Zealand forces, scenarios, and historical coverage.

At the centre of the issue is Sparrow Force, a Historical ASL mini-campaign covering Australian and Japanese fighting around the village of Babau on Timor in 1942. Designed by Simon Spinetti and Andy Rogers, it includes a map, mini-campaign game, and related scenarios.

The article selection covers Australian and New Zealand forces, the Battle of Crete, scenario analysis, Hatten in Flames design reflections, Sparrow Force history and campaign guidance, and the regular Debriefing section with errata updates. The scenario package includes 24 scenarios ranging from 1940 to 1945, with a strong focus on Australian, New Zealand, Japanese, and Commonwealth actions, plus several European Theatre scenarios.

This is a useful issue for ASL players interested in ANZAC forces, Pacific and Timor actions, historical mini-campaign play, and tournament-suitable scenarios with a distinct Australian flavour.
