ASL Twilight of the Reich

ASL Twilight of the Reich takes Advanced Squad Leader to the final battles of the European war, from the Allied advance into Germany to the last struggles for the Reich itself.

Most of the included scenarios focus on late-war fighting from 1944 to 1945, including Hitler-declared fortress cities, heavily industrial terrain, and the urban battles that marked the collapse of Germany. The module also includes two early-war scenarios featuring Soviet NKVD units.

To support this setting, Twilight of the Reich brings Debris and Rail Car rules into the core ASL system, along with counters and overlays for factories, graveyards, railyards, rail cars, rubble, and dense urban terrain. It also expands the late-war German SS order of battle, adds rules for SS ELR substitution, and includes Soviet NKVD counters, Assault Engineers for several nationalities, and new Volksgrenadier-style German MMC counters.

The scenarios use four new double-sided urban mapboards and 49 overlays, offering replayable, scenario-rich urban battlefields. Scenario Special Rules, purchase options for weapons and fortifications, and rubble-and-debris generation add uncertainty and allow players to shape their defensive or attacking plans.

This is a major ASL module for experienced players interested in late-war city fighting, industrial terrain, Berlin-era combat, and the brutal tactical problems of the European endgame.

Requires: the Advanced Squad Leader core game system. This is not a standalone product.

Contents include: four 11" x 16" double-sided geomorphic maps, boards 16a/b–19a/b, 49 overlays, two countersheets, updated ASL Chapter A and Chapter B rules, 17 ASL scenarios, and one box and lid.
