Battle of the Scheldt: The Devil’s Moat

Battle of the Scheldt: The Devil’s Moat is a two-player World War II folio wargame from Decision Games covering the fighting between First Canadian Army and Fifteenth German Army in November 1944. The Canadians must clear the Scheldt approaches so the port of Antwerp can finally be used to supply the Allied armies, while the Germans try to delay them as long as possible.

The German defense uses prepared positions, artillery, snipers, mines, and difficult approach routes to slow and disrupt the Allied advance. The Canadian player must break through these defenses and open the way to Antwerp; the German player must make every mile costly and keep the port unusable for as long as possible.
