Border War: Angola Raiders

Border War: Angola Raiders is a solitaire mini-game from Decision Games covering cross-border raids during the Cold War conflict along the Angolan frontier. The player commands a South African battlegroup conducting raids into Angola to strike enemy base camps and return safely to home base.

The game uses mission cards to generate objectives and provide the resources used to assemble a battlegroup. Available forces include reconnaissance units, commandos, mechanized infantry, paratroopers, G-5 long-range artillery, air support, helicopter reaction forces, PSYOP assets, and leaders.

Event cards create intelligence opportunities, complications, and enemy opposition, ranging from SWAPO insurgents and Angolan government regulars to Cuban armored formations. Combat uses a quasi-tactical system where both tactical superiority and firepower matter.

Contents include: one 11×17 inch map, 40 die-cut counters, 18 cards, and a four-page rule booklet.
