Cuba: The Splendid Little War is a two-player wargame covering the Cuban War of Independence and the Spanish-American War from 1895 to 1898.

One player controls the Spanish forces attempting to suppress the rebellion and retain control of Cuba. The other controls the Cuban rebels fighting for independence, along with the U.S. forces that may intervene as the conflict escalates.

Players must manage limited resources, troop movements, political pressure, disease, assassinations, yellow journalism, and the possibility of U.S. intervention.
