The Chaco War was fought between two landlocked South American countries over the harsh and difficult Gran Chaco region. On paper, Bolivia had major advantages in manpower and resources, but its forces struggled with long supply lines, punishing terrain, and morale problems. Paraguay, fighting what it saw as a national struggle for survival, relied on stronger leadership, cohesion, and determination to overcome the odds.

This issue offers a focused treatment of an often-overlooked interwar conflict, with both players facing the logistical, operational, and political pressures of campaigning in one of the most difficult environments of the period.
