Gazala: The Cauldron

Gazala: The Cauldron is a World War II wargame covering the mobile phase of the Battle of Gazala, fought south of Tobruk from 27 May to 14 June 1942.

The game begins with the Axis attack into the Gazala position, followed by the Allied counterattack and the grinding battle of manoeuvre and attrition that eventually produced a major Axis victory.

Random formation activation creates uncertainty and replayability, with each side receiving a variable number of activations to reflect supply, command confusion, fatigue, and battlefield intelligence. Minefields, air power, anti-tank capabilities, and the clash between armour and infantry are handled in a compact rules system focused on movement, timing, and counterattack.
