Liberty or Death: The American Insurrection is a multi-faction strategy game in GMT’s COIN Series, covering the American Revolutionary War from a political, military, and cultural perspective.

Up to four players take on asymmetric roles: the British, Patriots, Indians, and French. Each faction has its own goals, tools, and challenges. The British rely on mobility and control of the seas, the Patriots build support and grow into a fighting force, the Indians wage raids and expand their presence on the frontier, and the French intervene diplomatically and militarily at key moments.

As with other COIN titles, the game blends military operations with political influence, resource management, and shifting alliances. Every card presents difficult decisions, and players must constantly balance short-term actions with long-term strategy. The system also fully supports solo and multiplayer play with automated factions.
