Napoleon's End

Napoleon’s End is an Operational Studies Group wargame on the final phase of Napoleon’s 1814 Campaign in France.

The game covers four battles fought in February and March 1814: Mormant, Montereau, Arcis-sur-Aube, and La Fère-Champenoise. After the victories of the Six Days and the battles covered in La Patrie en Danger and Napoleon Retreats, Napoleon continued trying to outmaneuver the advancing Coalition armies, but time, numbers, and strategic options were running out. These battles show the campaign moving from sharp French counterstrokes to the collapse that opened the road to Paris.

As part of OSG’s The Library of Napoleonic Battles system, Napoleon’s End emphasizes command, maneuver, historical terrain, and the operational tempo of Napoleonic warfare. It is a strong fit for players interested in the 1814 campaign and in the final military crisis before Napoleon’s first abdication.

Requires / note: this game uses the two TLNB Universal Card Decks — French and Coalition. These decks are not included; if you do not already own them from Napoleon’s Wheel or another compatible OSG title, they can be ordered separately.

Contents include: game box, three 34" x 22" maps, one 40" x 22" map, two countersheets with 560 die-cut pieces, two booklets covering the system rules and study folder, 17 player aid cards, and 5 resource cards.
