Part of the Great Campaigns of the American Civil War series, this large Civil War wargame package brings together three linked campaign modules covering the 1862 Richmond Campaign, the 1864 Overland Campaign, and the 1864–65 Petersburg Campaign. Two of the campaigns have been revised and rebalanced from earlier releases, while the Petersburg Campaign is a new module covering the long struggle from Grant’s crossing of the James to the defeat of Confederate forces at Five Forks.

Designed for players who enjoy operational American Civil War campaigning, the game combines campaign movement, historical command challenges, and multiple scenario sizes, from shorter Basic Game scenarios to extensive Advanced Game campaigns. The package includes updated GCACW Standard Basic Game Rules and standardized Advanced Game rules, making it a major entry point into the Richmond and Petersburg campaigns.

Note: two grand campaign scenarios require maps from Stonewall in the Valley, which are not included.
