Operation Battleaxe: Wavell vs. Rommel, 1941 is a quick-playing World War II wargame covering the June 1941 Allied offensive in the North African desert.
Product Type: Ziplock standalone wargame.
The Allied player commands the attack across the Egyptian border into Libya, with strong tank forces including the Matilda and control of the air. Their goal is to destroy the Afrika Korps and lift the siege of Tobruk.
The Axis player commands Rommel’s defending forces, using mobility, terrain, and tactical timing to blunt the Allied offensive and keep Tobruk isolated. The result is a compact desert campaign game focused on speed, pressure, armour, and operational opportunity.
Contents include: 17" x 22" map, one sheet of 5/8" die-cut counters, and rule booklet.
