General Sherman’s advance against Vicksburg offered the Union a chance to seize the city months before its eventual surrender. Historically, the Federal assault was delayed, giving Confederate defenders time to strengthen their position and receive reinforcements.

Part of the Blind Swords series, the game uses a chit-pull system to emphasize fog of war, friction, uncertainty, and sudden battlefield reversals. Players must decide whether to press forward quickly with imperfect preparations or pause for strength while the Confederate defense hardens.
