Stonewall’s Sword: The Battle of Cedar Mountain is a regimental-scale American Civil War wargame covering the Battle of Cedar Mountain on 9 August 1862.
Product Type: Standalone wargame.
One player commands Stonewall Jackson’s Confederate forces, while the other commands the Union troops under Nathaniel Banks. The battle nearly went disastrously wrong for the Confederates, giving both sides a tense contest of timing, coordination, and battlefield momentum.
Part of the Blind Swords series, the game uses a chit-pull system to emphasize fog of war, friction, and sudden changes in battlefield fortune. Units represent infantry regiments and artillery batteries, making this a playable but detailed treatment of Cedar Mountain.
Contents include: 17" x 22" map and 176 counters.
