The Chase of the Bismarck: Operation Rheinübung 1941

The Chase of the Bismarck: Operation Rheinübung 1941 is an operational naval wargame from VUCA Simulations covering the famous 1941 sortie of Bismarck and Prinz Eugen into the Atlantic. The German player attempts to break out, evade detection, and threaten Allied shipping, while the Allied player must locate, shadow, and bring the German force to battle.

The game combines hidden operational movement with tactical naval combat. Each turn represents nearly five hours, with both players secretly moving ships and air units on their own search boards before attempting to locate the enemy. If opposing forces are found in the same zone, the action can shift to the Battle Board for combat. The game ends when Bismarck is sunk, reaches a friendly port, or the final turn is reached.

This is a standalone 2-player historical naval wargame.

Contents include: two operational search boards, one battle board, about 300 counters, 45 ship cards, several player aid cards, two player screens, blue and red wooden blocks, an optional hit record pad, a rulebook, and two ten-sided dice.
