The Confederate Rebellion

The Confederate Rebellion is a solitaire strategic wargame from White Dog Games covering the American Civil War. The player commands the Union forces, while the Confederate Rebellion is controlled by the game system. Optional two-player rules are also included for players who want a head-to-head version.

Based on ACW Solitaire, this edition adds updated rules, clarifications, new artwork, and new scenarios. Each turn follows a clear build, move, and combat structure for both sides, with the Union player raising armies, fleets, forts, gunboats, and generals while trying to reduce the Confederacy’s ability to build and maintain its army.

The goal is not simply to win battles, but to break the resource base of the Rebellion. Players must manage Union advances, naval pressure, generalship, forts, river movement, Confederate raiders, and the shifting tempo of the war across several scenarios.

Format: Solitaire strategic wargame with optional two-player rules.

Contents include: 120 two-sided counters and markers, an 8-page rulebook, one 17″ x 11″ game board, and one double-sided scenario sheet.
