The God Kings

The God Kings is a card-driven wargame covering the ancient wars of the Near East from the 15th to the 13th century BC.

Players command the great powers of the age, including New Kingdom Egypt, the Hittites, Mitanni, and the Babylonian Kassites, with Assyria also entering the struggle. Each kingdom is shaped by its rulers, from Ramesses II and Hatshepsut to Suppiluliuma, Muwatalli II, Akhenaten, and Tutankhamun.

Inspired by the style of Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage, the game combines card play, campaigning, battles, tribute, timber, barbarian threats, and imperial rivalry. Scenarios range from the quick Battle of Kadesh to a full campaign lasting several hours.

This is a strong fit for players who enjoy card-driven strategy games, ancient history, and multiplayer conflict where diplomacy, timing, and opportunism matter.
