Traces of Victory: November 1944 is an operational World War II wargame from VUCA Simulations covering the U.S. Third and Seventh Armies’ operations in eastern France. The game focuses on the Allied drive through Lorraine and Alsace, with Patton pushing east, Patch advancing through the mountains, and German forces fighting to hold fortified lines, towns, rivers, and key approaches.
The system uses HQ chit-pull activation to create uncertainty and tempo shifts. Weather, mud, supply, fortifications, Allied air support, interdiction, and combat intensity all shape the campaign, forcing players to judge when to press an attack and when the front is about to bog down. Scenarios cover Patton’s Assault, Patch’s Advance, and the full Combined Assault, with an optional team variant for 3–4 players.
This is a standalone hex-and-counter historical wargame for players interested in late-war operational combat, command friction, and the difficult Allied advance toward Germany.
Contents include: an operational map with tracks and holding boxes, double-sided U.S., French, and German unit counters, HQ and special chits, weather, mud, air, victory point, control, and supply markers, player aids with CRT and terrain effects charts, and a rulebook.
