Wing Leader: Supremacy 1943-1945 2nd Edition

Wing Leader: Supremacy 1943-1945 is the second volume in GMT’s Wing Leader series, covering the large air battles of the final years of World War II.

Players command squadrons and flights in major raids, escort missions, bomber interceptions, and desperate defensive battles. One side typically tries to push bombers through to the target, while the other scrambles fighters to gain altitude, intercept, and break up the attack before the bombs fall.

The system uses a distinctive side-view presentation of air combat, focusing on altitude, formation, positioning, clouds, sun, command control, bombing, and pilot quality. This gives Wing Leader a very different feel from traditional top-down air combat games, with the battle unfolding vertically as much as horizontally.

This volume includes late-war aircraft and scenarios from Europe, the Pacific, the Eastern Front, Rabaul, Okinawa, the Japanese Home Islands, and D-Day. Jets, kamikazes, heavy bombers, escorts, special weapons, and high-performance fighters all bring the air war to its most intense stage.

The 2nd Edition updates the original with revised rules, updated player aids, new and expanded scenarios, updated aircraft data cards, and additional aircraft and counter content.
