World At War 85: Vol 2 Blood and Fury

World At War 85: Blood and Fury is the second volume in Lock ’n Load’s fast-playing platoon-level Cold War gone hot series.

Set in an alternate 1985, the game shifts the focus to northern West Germany as Warsaw Pact forces drive west and NATO attempts to stop them. British, American, West German, Soviet, and Warsaw Pact formations clash with tanks, mechanised infantry, air assault troops, helicopters, close air support, and heavy weapons.

The World At War 85 system uses formation activation, initiative, random turn length, close air support, and an interactive combat system where both attacker and defender roll. Unit information is printed directly on the counters, keeping combat quick without a traditional combat results table.

Blood and Fury brings major new forces to the system, including UK Challengers, Chieftains, Harriers, and Tornados; U.S. M60A3s and A-10s; Soviet T-64s, T-80s, BTR-70s, BMP-2s, air assault and marine infantry; and West German Leopard I, Leopard II, M48 Pattons, and Marder IFVs.

As a complete core game, Blood and Fury can be played on its own and is a strong choice for players who want a large, modern tactical wargame focused on armoured warfare, NATO defence, and high-intensity World War III battles.
