The included game, Winter War, is a two-player operational-level wargame built around the asymmetry of the campaign. The Soviet player has overwhelming numbers and must force a rapid victory, while the Finnish player relies on terrain, mobility, superior tactics, and Mannerheim’s leadership to delay, disrupt, and outmaneuver the Red Army.

Special rules cover unit breakdowns, special forces, air missions, and Finnish motti tactics. Each hex represents about 21 miles, each turn represents ten days, and ground units range from detachments and battalions up to divisions and corps.

Components include: one 22×34 inch map and 176 die-cut counters.
