Merrill’s Marauders: Commandos in Burma 1943–1944

Merrill’s Marauders: Commandos in Burma 1943–1944 is a solitaire mini-game from Decision Games covering commando missions behind Japanese lines in the Burmese jungle during World War II.

Product Type: Mini-series solitaire game.

The player must complete one of four missions or link all four together into a campaign game. Each mission card provides operations points that are spent to recruit the special operations team, move across the map, and attack objectives. Event cards control the opposing Japanese forces and create the pressure, uncertainty, and danger of operating deep behind enemy lines.

Combat uses a quasi-tactical system, with opposing units taking turns firing at one another. Success can increase the operations points available, but heavy losses reduce them, and the game ends when the player runs out of points.

Contents include: one 11×17 inch map, 40 die-cut counters, 18 mini cards, scenario instructions, and a four-page rule booklet.
