The included game, Spring Awakening, is a two-player wargame on the fighting in Hungary from 6 March to 16 April 1945. The Axis player attempts to secure the defensive zone around the Lake Balaton oilfields, while the Soviet player must contain the offensive and drive on toward Vienna.

Each side is divided into two sub-commands. Axis forces include the Nord Armee Kommando and Süd Armee Kommando, while the Soviet side includes the Third Ukrainian Front, elements of the Second Ukrainian Front, a Bulgarian army, and a Yugoslav corps. Each turn represents one week, each hex represents 18 kilometers, and most ground units are corps.

Components include: one 22×34 inch map and 176 die-cut counters.
