War Plan Z – The Kriegsmarine Strikes explores an alternate-history World War II in which Hitler does not cancel Germany’s naval expansion programme in 1939. Instead of beginning the war in Europe that September, Germany waits until the Kriegsmarine is far stronger, creating a very different strategic naval conflict in the 1940s.

Players command the Germans and Allies in a hypothetical naval campaign shaped by combat operations, logistics, intelligence, base control, and long-range strategic planning. France remains an Allied power, Germany and the USSR still divide Poland, and the Eastern Front remains in an uneasy peace while the naval war becomes the central struggle.

The magazine also includes historical articles on World War II topics, making this a combined magazine-and-game issue rather than a boxed game.
